He has the skills and abilities to be on of the best in the NFL. He replaced a legend on the San Diego Chargers roster when he was drafted in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Ryan Mathews has very large shoes to fill and very high expectations to meet in just his first NFL season. Considered by most as one of the top rookies from this years NFL draft class, his sports cards have been selling very well so far into the season, despite his slow start to his career. is currently up at a 10-day auction, ending on November 3. While Mathews still may be considered a true project by some, there is no denying that the void that someone will need to replace in the Chargers backfield after LaDainian Tomlinson was released. Mathews has the makeup to fill that void very nicely.
